Georgia BioEd ELN Mentor Program

emerging leaders network
GABioEdInstLogo_2C

We have a vested interest in building up young professionals in the life sciences community in the state of Georgia to empower the next generation of leaders. Mentorship serves as a key component of accomplishing this goal, and Georgia has no shortage of leaders in life sciences who serve as excellent mentors.

This program equips mentees with professional tools and skills through virtual professional development sessions prior to pairing mentors and mentees. Beginning with one-hour bootcamp sessions, mentees hone their resume, embellish their LinkedIn page, learn how to build a network, and gain strategies to navigate an interview. After the bootcamp, each mentee is connected with two industry mentors and will meet with that mentor a minimum of two times. Mentors provide invaluable input to the mentees’ career path in life sciences and empower young professionals in Georgia.

At the conclusion of the program, mentees will have learned about various career paths and opportunities based on their interests and will have more insight on how to accomplish their career goals. Mentors will have made connections with the next generation of talent, perhaps finding an ideal fit for their next colleague.

Applications for mentees and mentors open 8 weeks prior to the start of the program.  The 2023 Mentor Program dates will be announced via newsletter and social media.
