Georgia Bio ELN Mentor Program
Georgia Bio is proud to initiate its first mentor program this fall! Georgia Bio has a vested interest in building up young professionals in the life sciences community in the state of Georgia to empower the next generation of leaders. Mentorship serves as a key component of accomplishing this goal, and Georgia has no shortage of leaders in life sciences that can serve as excellent mentors. As part of this program, we will not only be linking mentees with mentors in areas they are interested in, but also equipping mentees with professional skills through virtual professional development sessions prior to pairing mentors and mentees.
The Georgia Bio Mentorship program involves a program for mentees to focus on professional development skills training, followed by a mentor and mentee pairing program, in which mentees will be able to meet with up to 2 mentors. Mentors will provide invaluable input to the mentees’ career path in life sciences and empower young professionals in Georgia.
At the conclusion of the program, mentees will have learned about various career paths and opportunities based on their interests and will have more insight on how to accomplish their career goals.
Interested in being a mentor?
Mentors will be paired with up to 2 mentees and will have at least one virtual meeting with each mentee to provide career guidance, professional development advice, and insight to their career paths. The expected time commitment is a couple hours over the course of October through December 2020.
Interested in being a mentee?
Mentees will be required to participate in 4 virtual professional development sessions to equip mentees with professional development skills. At the conclusion of the sessions, mentees will be paired with up to 2 mentors. Mentees will have the opportunity to chat one on one with each mentor at least one time to discuss career paths and any additional guidance they would like to receive.
