HHS Federal Health Innovation Day

Get ready for a mind-blowing day of cutting-edge health innovations and an epic startup showcase at Federal Health Innovation Day!

The Southeast MBDA Business Growth Hub and the Georgia MBDA Business Center, in partnership with TransPharMed, will coordinate and host the Federal Health Innovation Day that will take place on Wednesday, October 25th, from 8:30 am to 3:30 PM at the Georgia Tech Technology Square Research Building (Next to ATDC).

Atlanta is one of 10 cities selected to host this event, where innovators and healthcare leaders across the southeast will have the opportunity to learn about the Department of Health & Human Services and their key initiatives. In addition, the agencies will also interface with you, my colleagues from academia, startups, provider groups, payers, government and investors, to see how they can support, engage and learn about all of the great things that are happening here.

Highlights:

• Participants will hear first-hand from the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology, Dr. Micky Tripathi, as well as other leaders from FDA, CDC, NIH, BARDA, ARPA-H, the VA and more are to be announced soon.
• The agencies asked me to curate one startup from each of the following categories to present during lunch; Cancer, Interoperability, Behavioral/mental Health, Maternal Health, Artificial Intelligence, Treating the underserved, Preparedness and response
• The afternoon will consist of roundtables where attendees can select an agency with whom to engage in discussion.
