Quick Clip Interview: Two minutes with Dr. Jay Yadav
With the development, commercialization and eventual $450 million sale of CardioMEMS, Dr. Jay Yadav demonstrated the magnitude of what is possible in Georgia’s medtech and life sciences ecosystem.
Fast forward more than five years and we find him at the helm of MiRus, LLC. MiRus “is focused on the design of innovative solutions for treatment of spinal and orthopaedic degeneration and deformities. MiRus is developing pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative solutions utilizing our proprietary alloy MoRe®, innovative implant designs, groundbreaking surgical navigation and advanced analytics to improve outcomes over the continuum of care.”
Jay spoke with Write2Market President Jean-Luc VanHulst at the 2019 Golden Helix Awards Gala about the strength of Georgia’s medtech and life science ecosystem and the importance of life science education, legislative support and investment in young medtech companies and entrepreneurs to improve outcomes without increasing cost.
We thank Jay for his time and his service as a Georgia Bio board member and immediate past chair.
