As president of Abbott Products Inc. formerly Solvay Pharmaceuticals, Inc., Dr. Stephen Hill focuses on expanding the company’s presence in the United States through aggressive strategies to grow the current business together with pipeline development and acquisitions. He leads the executive committee, is a member of the corporation’s board of directors and an officer of the corporation. In addition, Hill serves as president of all Solvay Pharmaceuticals subsidiaries including Unimed Pharmaceuticals, LLC, Organics L.L.C. and Solvay Biologicals, LLC. Hill served as president and CEO of biotechnology firm ArQule, Inc. from 1999-2008. Prior to his position at ArQule, Hill was the Head of Global Drug Development at F. Hoffmann-La Roche Ltd. from 1997-1999. He joined Roche in 1989 as Medical Adviser to Roche Products in the United Kingdom and held several senior positions there that included U.K. Medical Director and Head of International Drug Regulatory Affairs at Roche headquarters in Basel, Switzerland. Hill is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and holds his scientific and medical degrees from St. Catherine's College at Oxford University. Hill currently serves on the board of directors Georgia Bio.

After three years as an investor and board member, Dr. Callaway became the Chief Executive Officer in April and is leading the commercial enterprise. He is a founding Partner of Georgia Venture Partners and involved in all aspects of GVP investment activities. He is also founder and president of Life Science Partner. A biotechnology executive, Dr. Callaway previously held the position of Director of Commercial Development for SyStemix and marketing roles at Roche Diagnostics and Roche Molecular Systems. He earned a medical degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. He holds an MBA and undergraduate degree from Duke University.

Eric Tomlinson has extensive expertise in pharmaceutical and biotechnology drug and gene delivery research and development. He established and led the worldwide Advanced Drug Delivery Research Program for Ciba-Geigy Pharmaceuticals (now Novartis), and as Chief Executive Officer of GeneMedicine, Inc., was responsible for its venture financing, initial and secondary public offerings, business partnerships and development of clinical products for treatment of cancer, cardiovascular disease and neuromuscular disorders.

Charles Craig

Charles Craig has been involved with the life sciences industry for 10 years, most recently as author and editor of Ernst & Young's Global Biotechnology Reports. He was responsible for production of publications tracking the progress of the life sciences industry in the Americas, Europe and Asia-Pacific. He introduced Ernst & Young's first Global Biotechnology Report in 2002 and its first Asia-Pacific Biotechnology Report in 2004. Mr. Craig also was a member of Ernst & Young's Global Health Sciences Center for Industry Change, assisting clients in strategic planning. Before joining Ernst & Young, Mr. Craig was director of publications for the Washington, DC-based Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO), the national association in the U.S. representing the life sciences industry. He was involved in all aspects of BIOs activities in behalf of life sciences companies. Mr. Craig also was executive editor, managing editor and staff writer of Thomsons BioWorld Publishing Group, which includes BioWorld Today, a leading publication reporting on the life sciences industry. Mr. Craig has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Virginia and a Master of Journalism degree from Louisiana State University.

Wayne D. Reid, CPA

Partner with Frazier & Deeter, Wayne Reid brings over 43 years of experience to the firm. Prior to joining the firm in June 2004, he was a partner with Deloitte & Touche and previously was a partner with Arthur Andersen where he served for over 32 years. Prior to that he worked for the Internal Revenue Service as a Field Auditor.
Wayne assists public and private companies with tax planning and compliance. He also helps C-corporations, S-corporations, partnerships, Limited Liability Companies and REIT's with structuring transactions, including IPOs with emphasis on tax minimization.
Industry specific experience includes working with real biomedical, technology and service related companies. Wayne serves on the Board of the Technology Executive Roundtable and the Association for Corporate Growth Atlanta Chapter.
He was an active member of Andersen's worldwide Technology Industry and Bioscience Steering Committees and Partnership Tax Practice Group. He was in charge of the technology practice and the Fast Tech 50 Program for Andersen's Atlanta office. He also had firmwide responsibilities as a member of the Arthur Andersen Family Wealth Planning Practice and Specialty Team serving medium and large net worth families. He served on the Arthur Andersen worldwide Advisory Council.
Wayne has addressed numerous tax institutes and forums throughout the United States. He has written several articles, including one on using tax partnerships as an ideal vehicle for start-up ventures. He has also co-authored several Andersen publications on specialized areas including estate and gift tax strategies with focus on asset value freezes, technology companies, international investments in the U.S. and real estate.
He has been honored with the Distinguished Alumni Service Award by both Furman University and Georgia State University. Furman University established the Wayne and Rubye Reid Award - presented annually to honor outstanding alum for service to students with career planning and placement. Wayne was recognized for significant contributions to Georgia's life sciences community as a recipient of the Georgia Bio Community Award.
Wayne received his Masters of Professional Accountancy from Georgia State University and his Bachelor of Arts from Furman University.

Phillip Street has practiced law in the life sciences/health care field since 1986. His primary areas of practice include health care and life sciences transactions, including business formations, strategic alliances, venture financings, mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures and the commercialization of life sciences research. He serves as legal advisor to hospital systems and life sciences companies, medical research organizations (pre-clinical and clinical), physician research consortiums, pharmaceutical and biotechnology corporations, medical device companies, academic medical research universities, physician organizations, health care providers, and other health care and life sciences-related entities.
Mr. Street provides general counseling to health care organizations and life sciences companies. He has over fifteen years of experience in the commercialization of research and bio-informatic technologies – advising through all growth stages from startup to mature public or private companies, including venture capital funding, licensing, joint ventures, development arrangements and strategic alliances. He regularly counsels organizations (non-profit and for profit) in connection with ongoing compliance matters, regulatory matters, tax exemption issues and commercialization issues. He also counsels companies on product development issues, regulatory analysis, and marketing/sales practices including matters involving health information privacy and matters arising under the Federal health care program’s anti-kickback statute, and Federal civil false claims act. Russell H. Plumb served as the Vice President, Finance and Administration and Chief Financial Officer from August 2000 until December 2006, when he was named President and Chief Executive Officer. From December 1999 to July 2000, Mr. Plumb served as Chief Financial Officer of Emory Vision, a healthcare company. From 1994 to November 1999, he served as Chief Financial Officer and Vice President, Finance of Serologicals Corporation, a publicly-held biopharmaceutical company. Mr. Plumb received both a B. Comm. and a M.B.A. from the University of Toronto. Mr. Plumb has received designations as a certified public accountant in Michigan and Georgia.

Edward J. Schutter has more than 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry and is presently serving as President and CEO of Arbor Pharmaceuticals in Atlanta. Prior to this, he was President and COO for Sciele Pharma (a division of Shionogi & Co), also based in Atlanta.
Mr. Schutter spent more than 15 years with Solvay Pharmaceuticals in senior commercial and business development positions based in Marietta, Ga. and Basel, Switzerland. He began his industry career with a small public pharmaceutical company, Reid-Provident Labs, which was eventually acquired by Solvay. Mr. Schutter is a registered pharmacist. He received his B.S. degree in Pharmacy from Mercer University and his MBA from Kennesaw State University.
